Safeguarding Statement
Last updated: 28 June 2026
Our commitment
MDX Parenting is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and families with whom we work. The welfare of the child is paramount.
DBS certification
Meave Darroux holds a current Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, appropriate for work with children and vulnerable adults.
Safeguarding policy
We operate in accordance with current statutory safeguarding guidance, including:
- Working Together to Safeguard Children (HM Government, 2023)
- Keeping Children Safe in Education (Department for Education, 2024) — where applicable to school-based work
- Local authority safeguarding children partnership procedures in the areas where we operate
How we handle concerns
If, in the course of our work, we become aware of or develop a concern that a child or vulnerable adult may be at risk of harm or abuse:
- We will not ignore the concern.
- We will handle all concerns sensitively and in line with our confidentiality obligations, except where the safety of a child or vulnerable adult requires disclosure.
- Where a concern meets the threshold for referral, we will report it to the relevant statutory authority — typically the local authority children's services or, where immediate risk is present, the police.
- We will keep a written record of any concern, the action taken, and the outcome.
